Description

The Individual Student Alternative Education Plan program prepares qualifying secondary students to earn a high school equivalency credential while developing career and technical skills. Page County Public Schools is seeking individuals who are interested in working with students who are at risk of dropping out of school and choosing to prepare for the GED Test.

 

The successful candidate must possess a cheerful demeanor and a helpful attitude. Job responsibilities include:

  • Assist students in completing their alternative education plan
  • Prepare students to take and pass the GED exam
  • Provide feedback to the student and their family about their progress
  • Collaborate with the high school principal, school counselors, and Director of Secondary Instruction to provide feedback on the student's progress
  • Hold a valid Virginia Teaching certificate

This is a part-time position for approximately 15-25 hours per week at a rate of $25/hour with no benefits.
